He added that he recommends that residents continue to listen to the medical experts when it comes to protecting themselves and the community. “Most of the losses we saw were in the high-touch areas, like in the tattoo space, we lost a couple of restaurants, some independent hair stylists, but really the majority of our businesses were able to survive,” Ring said.
“As of February, over half - 57 per cent - of small businesses have not repaid their pandemic-related debt, at an average of $105,000, and only 48 per cent have seen their sales return to pre-pandemic levels,” the CFIB wrote.
