We are extremely grateful to those who gave so generously
Rainbow Schools have once again joined forces to fight hunger and feed hope this holiday season by participating in the Edgar Burton Kids Helping Kids Food Drive.
In total, Rainbow Schools collected 38,390 food items and $63,638.41 in monetary donations for area food banks, which translates into more than 420,220 food items for families in need. “Through initiatives such as the food drive, students are learning values that contribute to Rainbow District School Board’s mission of enabling students to become confident, caring members of society.
“Donations will support food banks in the jurisdictions served by the Board - benefiting students and families in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island.”
