“It was a passerby who discovered the inanimate body of a snowmobiler on a trail, a few kilometres from Route 269 in St-Gilles, in Lotbinière,” said Sgt. Béatrice Dorsainville, a spokesperson for the SQ. The man was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately disclosed.

“Elements found at the scene suggest that the snowmobiler could have collided with a moose,” Dorsainville said.
