Ryan Taplin/Saltwire Network.HALIFAX, N.S. - The Halifax Mooseheads erased a three-goal deficit to defeat the Cape Breton Eagles 4-3 in overtime in Game 2 of their best-of-seven Quebec Major Junior Hockey League first round series at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on Saturday.

Like Friday night, Cape Breton had a strong start to the game, scoring twice in the first three minutes of the game and taking a 3-0 lead early in the second period. However, things changed midway through the second period when the Mooseheads got on the board with their first goal of the contest.Cape Breton Eagles embracing underdog role as QMJHL playoff series with Halifax Mooseheads opens Friday

Brody Fournier, Josh Lawrence and Alexandre Doucet netted goals for the Mooseheads in regulation time.Halifax's Mathis Rousseau made 23 saves. Cape Breton's Nicolas Ruccia stopped 43 of 47 shots in his QMJHL playoff debut after replacing Game 1 starter Oliver Satny between the pipes.
