Transit will be free this Wednesday
Transit will be free in the City of Prince George for Clean Air Day. BC Transit and the city have announced that transit will be free on Wednesday June, 7 to mark Clean Air Day and help provide an environmentally-friendly transportation option.
The Government of Canada declared Clean Air Day in 1999 as part of Canadian Environment Week. The goal of Clean Air Day is to raise awareness about air quality and climate change, as well as inspire people to consider changing habits in an effort to decrease their individual greenhouse gas emissions.
Transit in Prince George will be free all day for passengers on all bus routes and for handyDART customers as well.
