Fraud suspect arrested last Friday; suspected cocaine seized in mid-February
Prince George RCMP executed a search warrant on a 6600-block Westmount Drive home last Friday as part of investigation into possible identity theft.
Two people were arrested and one of them, Vanessa Leona Clarke, 43, has since been charged with two fraud-related counts and two counts of breaching probation and remains in custody. Under a previous name, Vanesssa Leona Jordan, she was sentenced in September 2022 to time served and one year probation for three fraud related counts and possessing stolen property, from a December 2021 incident in Dawson Creek.Police said the home was also the subject of a search warrant on February 14 and that a large quantity of suspected cocaine and drug trafficking paraphernalia was seized.
The North District RCMP emergency response team was deployed on both occasions over concern there could be violence, Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said in a statement issued Thursday.
