Prince George RCMP are looking to return a large number of stolen items to their owners.
A traffic stop on Queensway last week resulted in police seizing guns, drugs and a large number of stolen items.
“While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, police observed a gun case resting at the feet of the front passenger,” the statement said. “The two occupants of the vehicle were arrested and a subsequent search of the vehicle for public and police safety located two firearms and some ammunition. One of the firearms was recently reported as stolen from a residence in Prince George.”
“We are asking the Prince George community to check their homes, vehicles and around their property for any recently missing items that may not yet have been reported as missing,” RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said. “If you think one of these items is yours, proof of ownership, such as the serial number, will be needed to claim it.”
