The Prince George Cougars are partnering with the Red Dress Society of Prince George to raise awareness to stop violence against women.
“Violence against women is an issue that doesn’t ever seem to go away but when we come together collectively as a community to have these hard conversations it’s brings awareness,” said Miese, adding that she hopes these conversations spark further conversations about safety. “This is a great start and a great initiative that I myself want to support personally and I know for a fact my team, and on the business side and hockey ops side, we want to be apart of this and we want to make a change.”
