The foundation partnered with the Bulkley Valley Community Foundation to award $571,061 to organizations throughout B.C., including Prince George.
The Prince George Community Foundation and Bulkley Valley Community Foundation teamed up to provide $561,061 in grants to 15 organizations throughout B.C., including in Prince George.
The grants were part of the federal Canada’s Investment Readiness Program, which supports social enterprises, non-profits, charities and co-operatives in their mission to support their communities. The funding supported projects in Prince George, Dease Lake, 108 Mile Ranch, Salmon Arm, Gibsons, Revelstoke, Kamloops, Powell River, Sunshine Coast and multiple Indigenous communities. The Prince George Peacemakers received $25,000 to support communications solutions.
“There are so many inspiring community leaders looking to make a difference in new and innovative ways,” P.G. Community Foundation director of development Mindy Stroet and Bulkley Valley Community Foundation executive director Deb Camenzind said. “We are looking forward to seeing the IRP help these recipients grow their impact even more.”
