The area is a remote part of the backcountry and there are no communities in immediate danger. Drummond said there are some trapper cabins and outfitter groups in the area, adding they are doing aerial assessments on all infrastructure in the region and nothing is immediately threatened. The area was ordered closed to the public on Aug. 26 and to remain closed until the end of October for the burn.
