Grenville OPP officers initiated a high-risk traffic stop at 12:45 p.m. Thursday on Highway 416 near Hands Road in Edwardsburg-Cardinal Township.
Police say officers received a complaint of a driver brandishing a prohibited weapon out the window of the vehicle.The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man from Kitchener, is facing several charges including pointing a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, assault with a weapon and drug possession charges.
Two other people in the vehicle, a 20-year-old woman and a 16-year-old male from Kitchener, are facing several charges including possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, knowledge of an unauthorized firearm and drug possession.
