THUNDER BAY – Two Southern Ontario men face multiple charges after police executed search warrants at two local residences on Thursday.
The arrests came after a drug trafficking investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Service’s Intelligence Unit, the force reported. On Thursday afternoon, TBPS officers executed warrants at a residence in the 600s block of Francis Street West, in Westfort, and another in the 300s block of Tupper Street, in the city’s North End.
Officers located one person inside the Francis Street residence who was subsequently arrested, and located four people inside the Tupper Street residence, later charging one male. After searching both residences, police report seizing substances believed to be crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of $12,800, as well as roughly $30,000 and “items consistent with drug trafficking.”• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking• Failure to Comply with a Release OrderThe failure to comply with a release order charge relates to an drug trafficking incident in Thunder Bay on Nov. 17, 2020, police said.
