Police actions defended in lawsuit filed after arrest of suspect in transit cop shooting

After the window was broken, the pair say they were yelled at and ordered to immediately leave their suite, still in their nightclothes, where they encountered members of the arrest team with guns pointed at them. The named defendants are the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor-General and the Attorney-General of Canada.Article content
The response says that before the arrest, RCMP made phone calls to numbers associated with the plaintiffs’ suite but there was no response. Police then tried to shine a light into the suite but again, there was no response, say the defendants.
