“If greenhouse gas emissions remain unchecked then it is highly likely that we’ll lose every polar bear population in the world before the end of the century,” then-Environment Minister Catherine McKenna tweeted in 2020.National Geographic“This is what climate change looks like. Climate change is real as are its impacts. Time to stand up for our polar bears and our planet,” McKenna wrote.
