Kiyara Letlow led the Capers with 31 points, followed by Chermensa Van la par with 16 points and, coming off the bench, Leandra Hersey with 12 points. Cape Breton finished the regular season with nine wins and 11 losses and have already clinched a playoff spot. The women’s team, seeded sixth, will have a week to prepare for their AUS women’s championship matchup with the UPEI Panthers on Friday, 6:30 p.m., at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
Justus Peuser added 12 points for the Capers , who clinched a playoff spot on Friday, while Chris Ruta had 11 points.
