Embattled influencer Andrew Tate allegedly tried to lure a former top Playboy model to his lair in Romania just days before his arrest.
“I had a lucky escape. I thought I would give him a chance and was tempted to have a relationship with him,” she reportedly told friends.Romanian detectives say they began probing Tate after the American embassy in Bucharest informed them that an American woman was being held against her will. The unnamed victim, 22, managed to get her phone and call her boyfriend in the U.S. who called the embassy.
Her friend told the Daily Mail: “ said to her, ‘You better not cheat on me.’ He told her she could not talk to men or go to a party and told her she had to stay in her hotel.”The pair met last month in Dubai where she was acting as a ring girl at the Floyd Mayweather fight. Tate was in the front row but left early.
He is now being held in what has been described as a “hellhole” Romanian prison while waiting to face charges about his sleazy webcam empire.
