The Durham District School Board is providing an update after being hit by a cyber attack. The board said Friday phones, email and internet are working at it
The board said Friday phones, email and internet are working at its schools again.
Chromebooks can be used at home and at school, but they cannot provide support for Chromebooks right now. As of Friday, the safe arrival system was still down, which means parents will not be notified if their child is absent from school.Students who were supposed to write the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test in the fall will now write it in the spring instead.
The board discovered the cyber attack more than one week ago and are still investigating to find out what happened, the extent of the impact and if there are any privacy concerns. Officials say the work is very complex and will take a long time to complete. They will share more information when they have it.Ctrl+Enter
