“People are terrified,” Coffin says. They’re concerned about transit that costs a fortune and isn’t reliable. They’re afraid to have to pay more in property taxes and not be able to make ends meet. And that their children won’t be able to get into the housing market even with stable jobs that pay six figures.“People haven’t been spoken to or heard in years,” Coffin says. This can make canvassing a slow affair.
She’s on a shoestring budget, so advertising options are limited. When a volunteer and friend who has a music studio at home suggested doing a podcast, where she could talk about her issues and what she cares about, she readily agreed.Article content
