Witnesses told police they spotted two people outside of a vehicle in the westbound express lanes near Renforth Drive around 5 a.m. Wednesday.
OPP Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says one person was hit by a passenger vehicle, ended up in live lane of traffic and was then struck again, the second time by a transport truck.The male pedestrian struck was pronounced dead.Investigators are expected to be on the scene throughout the morning speaking with witnesses.
They’re asking anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and they also want to speak with the truck driver who left the scene.
