MORELL, P.E.I. — Progressive Conservative MLA Sidney MacEwen is re-offering in Morell-Donagh for the upcoming provincial election.
"I have been proud to contribute to a more collaborative and productive legislature during my elected time,” said MacEwen.He also currently sits as a member of the standing committees on health and social development, public accounts, rules, regulations, private bills and privileges and legislative management.
MacEwen touted his achievements during his tenure in government, including improving safety around local schools, providing financial assistance to offset the cost of living increases, increasing funding and wages for the early childhood sector, improving access to high-speed internet, opening the new UPEI climate school in St. Peter and launching the toonie transit service.
MacEwen is a trained industrial engineer and has been involved in the lobster and tuna fishing industry in Red Head Harbour since 2005. He is actively involved in several local organizations, including the North Side Communities Initiative, the Morell and Area Development Corporation and the St. Peters Harbour Lighthouse Society.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
