|Ladysmith’s Pamela Anderson is about to make the short trek south to Victoria, where she’ll be signing copies of her new book at Mayfair Shopping Centre this March.on Monday, March 6, to sign copies of, which “reclaims the narrative of her life in a memoir that defies expectation in both content and approach,” reads a synopsis from publisher HarperCollins.
Before its release, the book generated a huge waitlist locally, including at the Vancouver Island Regional Library, where Nariel Davis, general manager of the Ladysmith branch, told CHEK News that 10 copies were on the way, with about 90 holds on those copies., premiered on Netflix. The latter gives viewers an inside look at her life, including never-before-seen archival footage and personal journals.
“It’s time to take back the narrative,” Anderson, 55, says in the trailer for the doc, which was filmed at her waterfront home in Ladysmith.Amid its release, local residents tell CHEK News that they hoped people would be kind to her in the wake of it, including store owner Klair Strom. “We look at her as a person. She’s a mom, she’s generous, she’s an animal lover,” said Strom of Ladysmith Health Food Store, a regular shopping destination for Anderson.
