They start with an info session with the pets’ owners before doing an assessment of the animal. Dogs go through 13 tests across nine stages with evaluators looking for certain things at each stop. Whether the visit is with a child or a senior, the total openness and lack of judgment toward a person from interactions with an animal is the lifeblood of what PALS set out to do nearly four decades ago.
