Kings District RCMP has charged a man and a woman from New Perth with 18 counts each of fraud under $5,000 in connection to their snow removal company. FileNEW PERTH, P.E.I. — Kings District RCMP has charged a man and a woman with 18 counts each of fraud under $5,000 in connection to their snow removal company Ground Control.
Police said the duo allegedly defrauded 18 customers who reported purchasing snow removal services that were not delivered. The investigation into Ground Control began in late December 2022, after Mounties received complaints from customers across P.E.I. who claimed the snow removal business had deceived them.Craig Robert Burley and Stephanie Teshia Marie Smith of New Perth are scheduled to appear in Georgetown provincial court on March 16
