The Islanders are one point behind the seventh-place Cape Breton Eagles and five back of the sixth-place Baie-Comeau Drakkar . The Islanders hold three games-in-hand on Baie-Comeau.The Islanders will look to add to their point total with two home games this weekend. The Islanders and Saint John Sea Dogs are scheduled to play at Eastlink Centre on Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. , and the Moncton Wildcats visit Eastlink Centre for a 7 p.m. start on Feb. 11.
Giovanni Morneau’s goal at 4:46 of the third period gave the Islanders a 3-1 advantage and proved to be the game-winner. Michael Horth and Carl-Etienne Michel also scored for the Islanders, who received assists from Keiran Gallant , Alexis Michaud , Peter Repcik and Lucas Romeo.
