Henvey Inlet residents asked to shelter in place
The Ontario Provincial Police is warning the public of an armed and dangerous person as they conduct an investigation into an “occurrence” on Henvey Inlet First Nation, which is located between Greater Sudbury and Parry Sound.
Michael Ashawasega, 27, is “believed to be an armed and dangerous person,” said a press release from the OPP, released Monday morning. The OPP is requesting that members of the public stay away from the area. If you are already in the area, shelter in a place of safety until further notice.If you have any information regarding the suspect’s location, do not approach him. Instead, phone 911 and advise the OPP or your nearest police authority.
