MANILA, Philippines–The National Telecommunications Office has directed its regional directors to coordinate with various government agencies for public assistance operations during the observance of Holy Week.

In a memorandum dated March 28, the NTC called on its regional directors to work with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils, Civic Action Groups , and Amateur Radio Groups to extend assistance to local government units within their respective areas of jurisdiction.

The NTC also urged regional directors to enlist the help of radio, television, and cable TV stations/operators for the proper and timely dissemination of related information.
