Not only are various pieces from museum collections stored in there, but so are exhibit materials such as panels, plus office equipment and other surplus property. It’s become a catch-all of sorts, said Nova Scotia Museum director Laura Bennett. Those discussions include the provincial significance of the artifact, if any, and if its story is told elsewhere in the museum family.

“We try to make sure that when appropriate, if things are in good condition, they stay within the public forum so that people will have access to continuously.”
