An attacker remains on the run following a deadly Melbourne shooting which police believe was targeted. 9News
"We want to reassure the public that Victoria Police is working towards successfully resolving this investigation."Police have not confirmed whether they had identified any suspects and could not say what type of gun was used.It was just after 7.30pm in the middle of Fawkner Park when the 41-year-old Carnegie man was shot dead. "This is our park, good lord, and then I heard this – ‘bang, bang, bang’”, a dog walker told 9News.
Police are yet to make any arrests over that attack, while last night's shooter also remains on the loose. 9News understands two boys who were playing in the park, discovered handguns and they will now form part of the police investigation. Police will be stepping up patrols at the park, they will be there for the rest of the weekend to reassure residents.
