North of the Sault could see up to 25 cm of snow by Tuesday morning
Snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.Snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm.Snow squalls are expected to move into the region this evening and last through Tuesday morning. Some areas may see lake effect persist throughout the day on Tuesday.
Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Road closures are possible.
