The Ontario government will launch a court challenge to fight a summons to appear at the Emergencies Act inquiry for both Ford and Jones, the former solicitor feneral. “It took three weeks for the government to ticket and tow 39 trucks,” NDP MPP Joel Harden said. “They handed the keys back to the owners without a fine a week later. People in Ottawa have a lot of questions … Running and hiding, not facing the music, not appropriate.”
While, the general purpose of the inquiry is to look into the Justin Trudeau government’s decision to use the Emergencies Act, provincial Liberal Interim Leader John Fraser pointed out many other political leaders are answering the call to testify.
