The Royal Canadian Air Force says it is cutting down on the amenities such as reuseable drinkware available to VIPs on government flights.
“RCAF flight stewards work with airport catering services to establish options for a meal, which are presented to the Office of Protocol of Global Affairs Canada for review and approval,” read DND’s response.

In an joint emailed response from DND and GAC sent to the National Post on Dec. 22 — two days after the federal government announced a nationwide ban on manufacturing or importing single-use plastic consumables — the RCAF said they would shift toward disposable cups in the main cabin to minimize cleaning costs.Article content
