‘It might be broken, but it’s not beyond repair’: Brazil

JOHN'S, N.L. — Progressive Conservative Interim Leader David Brazil was back in the House of Assembly on Tuesday, Nov. 8, about one month after he had a near-fatal heart attack, and his experience had him fired up during question period.
“I ask the premier: when will you end emergency department closures in our province to ensure people have access to emergency health care?” Brazil said during question period. Premier Andrew Furey acknowledged health-care professionals have all worked incredibly hard over the last two years in particular.
After question period, Brazil told reporters that when he was in hospital he heard directly from health-care professionals about some of their concerns.
