NDP questions whether review is punitive

JOHN'S, N.L. — On Monday, Dec. 5, the provincial government announced a review of the statutory offices that report to the House of Assembly, and the NDP is questioning whether it’s a punitive action.
Many of these ideas were discussed in the several recent reports involving Elections NL CEO Bruce Chaulk and Citizens’ Representative Bradley Moss this year, which Justice Minister John Hogan said was the trigger for this review. “There's just multiple reports going back and forth, pointing fingers at different officers, different offices. So, we want to say, look, this is clearly not working,” Hogan said.
