One room has its own kitchen and two bathrooms. There is also a bedroom set up with two beds on either side to show what future students living there can expect. Brian McFeely, CEO of the 2023 Canada Winter Games Host Society, said he hopes the new residence will provide a home away from home for the athletes.
She said they have received about 600 applications and estimated they continue to receive about 50 every day. Bunk beds have been installed in UPEI's new residence for athletes to use during the Canada Games. The bunk beds will be moved out and more traditional beds will be moved in for students once the Games are complete. - George MelitidesWhen entering the new residence, visitors are greeted with a bright open lobby, featuring a modern staircase with glass siding as its centrepiece.
UPEI’s new residence features this 400-seat auditorium where each seat can be named after someone with a donation to the university. - George Melitides
