A new DriveBC webcam has been added to Highway 4 at Taylor River, approximately 37 kilometres west of Port Alberni, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. The camera, looking both west and east, provides views of Highway 4 conditions for drivers travelling to and from the west coast of Vancouver Island, including Tofino and Ucluelet, the ministry said Friday.
It’s one of the sixteen new cams and two of the 33 new views added to DriveBC’s webcam network in 2022, helping people plan for traffic and weather conditions on roads, officials say.
