B.C. Review Board to decide whether Colin Faustus John remains in custody
Court heard that on the afternoon of May 20, 2016, 26-year-old John snuck in to Descoteau’s Nanaimo basement, armed with a gun and knife. Guyatt was visiting at that time.
John’s lawyer argued that he committed the offences while suffering from a mental disorder that rendered him incapable of knowing that what he did was wrong.Article content John arrived shortly after and consoled Descoteau, later telling court that he felt remorse. He was arrested at the scene.
