“The Crown is not consenting or accepting to the guilty plea of manslaughter by Mr. Lee,” said Parker. “Chris Lee, who also went by the name of Kevin Barton, caused the death of Vida Smith. He killed her, but Vida Smith’s body has never been found,” Tran said. “Vida and Chris were once business associates who made money by gambling together at local casinos and even internationally.
