Montreal Canadiens forward Josh Anderson suffered a lower-body injury late in Tuesday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning and will not travel with the team to Boston, the club announced on Twitter.collidingThe 28-year-old winger slid along the ice before colliding leg-first with the right goal post. Although neither a penalty nor an automatic goal was assessed on the play, the Canadiens held on to win by a 3–2 score.
Anderson has 21 goals and 32 points in 69 games with the Canadiens this season. Montreal acquired Anderson from the Blue Jackets in 2020 in exchange for forward Max Domi and a third-round draft pick.
