Holland College Photo • Special to The Guardian - ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The Holland Hurricanes picked up three wins in six games across two sports – basketball and volleyball – in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association action this past weekend.The Hurricanes split a pair of men’s volleyball matches against the Université de Sainte-Anne Dragons 3-0. After the Dragons won 3-0 on Jan. 21, the Hurricanes bounced back for a 3-0 win.
Jenna O’Neill led with attack for the ‘Canes with 12 kills while also adding two aces and four digs. Morgan White added nine kills, four aces and seven digs. White had nine kills to lead an excellent team effort offensively. O’Neill and Kateia Barenaba both had five with Charlotte Sweetapple and Mason Babey adding three each.Lisa Bolander. - Holland CollegeMount Allison got by the Hurricanes 70-64 in a clash between two of the top-ranked women’s basketball teams in the ACAA on Jan. 22.
