Met Éireann upgrade weather warning to orange for three counties
Met Éireann has warned that things will be worse than first thought for Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim over the next 24 hours.
The three counties had originally been part of two status yellow wind and rainfall warnings issued over the last two days. However, later this morning, Met Éireann bumped up the status of the warning for those three counties, forecasting"further heavy persistent rainfall may lead to river flooding and localised spot flooding."The status yellow wind warning still applies to those three counties, as well as Galway and Mayo.
The wind warning elapses at 10pm tonight, and the rain warning for Mayo will be in place until midday on Monday. Similarly, a rain warning has been issued by the UK Met Office for Derry, Tyrone and Fermanagh. This warning will apply until 3pm tomorrow.The Architects of Business... Press PLAY
