The more SUV-like GLB compact crossover also receives refined front and rear styling for 2024, with new LED high-performance headlights, dual 10.25-inch displays and the brand's latest-generation MBUX infotainment system. It will be available late this year. The 2024 GLA, scheduled to arrive at dealerships this year, will have a new grille with vertical louvers and a redesigned front bumper. The headlights and taillights have been changed to LED, and three new wheel designs are available. Inside, two screens with a total viewing area of more than 20 inches are standard. Also now standard are a parking assist and mirror package as well as a keyless package.
The GLA and GLB each get an additional USB-C port and increased USB charging power, with all USB ports now illuminated. For both vehicles, the powertrain remains a 2.0-litre turbo rated at 221 hp and 258 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes added a standard mild-hybrid system consisting of a belt-driven starter-alternator. It briefly provides 13 hp of additional power to aid agile starting and quicker acceleration under certain conditions. All-wheel drive is optional.
