The median rental price for a one-bedroom unit in September was $2,080 a month, a 30 per cent increase from the same time last year, according to a new report.
If it feels like rental prices in Victoria have increased significantly from a year ago, that’s because they have.
Cities in British Columbia and Ontario dominated the list of the most expensive markets for a one-bedroom, with Halifax being the only city outside of those two provinces in the top 15. Crystal Chen, spokesperson for Zumper, said the median price for a one-bedroom has risen so much over a single 12-month period and is now nearly as much as Toronto is surprising.
