Mavcom said 4Q’s ATR applications, which consisted of 28 international and 16 domestic routes, showed an increase of 15.8 per cent compared with 3Q 2022.

Mavcom said, of the 44 ATRs allocated, MYAirline was awarded the highest number of approvals, receiving 12 out of 16 domestic ATRs, followed by AirAsia,Meanwhile, Firefly and Raya Airways were each granted two ATRs, and Malaysia Airlines was awarded one ATR approval. Mavcom said it also approved 52 more ATRs in 2022 than in 2021 for international passenger travel, indicating the positive impact of worldwide reopening of borders that set the industry on the path of recovery.
