Toronto police are asking the public for help identifying a person they say has been following young girls and women to their homes in the city’s east end and then allegedly trying to get inside.
Police have launched a criminal harassment investigation after a string of recent incidents in a Leslieville neighbourhood.
The man appeared to be 30-to-40 years old, with a medium build and about 6-feet tall wearing large clothing, a grey hooded rain coat with neon green stripes, black pants and dark shoes. Later that day at 5:36 p.m., police say a different woman walking her dog in the Queen Street East and Pape Avenue area also reported being followed. This time, police allege, the man tried following the woman into her condo building, but she was able to use her fob and close the door behind her, preventing the man from getting inside.Police say a 43-year-old woman with 3 young girls were walking home when a man started to follow them “while staring at the young girls.
