An 18-year-old Upper Sackville man was arrested after a gun was seen at a university residence party in Wolfville on Saturday, Jan. 14. File - ContributedWOLFVILLE, N.S. — An 18-year-old man is facing charges after police responded to a report of a man with a gun at a university residence party in Wolfville on Saturday.
RCMP received a report of the incident just after midnight and responded to the university, which had locked down the residence. Responding officers were told that two men had a minor altercation after bumping into each other at a residence party. Police said a third man then approached the pair, lifted up his shirt and showed a gun tucked in his waistband.
As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Upper Sackville man was arrested at the residence and later released on conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court on Feb. 28 to face charges of uttering threats against a person, carrying a concealed weapon, and using an imitation of a firearm in the commission of an offence.
