With the Commons looking to pass C-18, Facebook has promised to engage in a similar actions, taking news sites off their platform. When it comes to news coverage, Facebook is famous for pushing liberal views and stories, even suppressing ones that will hurt their preferred politicians. While many will point to Facebook’s decision to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story – a story that turned out to be fully accurate – there are Canadian examples as well.Article content
Is Bill C-18 perfect? Absolutely not, but the Conservatives aren’t trying to improve it, they are simply playing defence for Facebook as if that is the new Conservative orthodoxy, it’s madness.
