METROLINX MESS
In a vain attempt to justify the $856,552 salary of the Metrolinx CEO , its spokesman twice uses the phrase “on time, and on budget.” Given the years of time delay and multi-billions of dollars of cost overrun on the Eglinton line, and both of them already announced on the Ontario line after only a few weeks, not only is the CEO’s salary not justifiable, the ongoing preservation of his job is not justifiable either.
Do you think making more than $100,000 in 2023 is as relevant as it was back then. The only reason it’s announced every year is to stir up members of the general public and media who have a problem with the salaries in the public sector. If it continues, it should be raised to at least $200,000 to give us a better picture of who may be overpaid.Article contentI become angry about lives lost by those defending democracy as politicians abuse their constitution.
