THIS IS NOT NORMAL
Wilf TownleyRe “Sussexes on fence about attending coronation?” : So, I checked — twice in fact, being a fact checker — and sure enough it is 2023. We have access to, as well as proof of, galvanizing events in our collective history. Darwin, Einstein, Lincoln, Banting, Mandela, Hussein, Hitler, Dr. King, Gorbachev, Hawking, Gates and Jobs, to name a few who, beyond measure, impacted the direction of history and our future.
After all of this, the tears, the emotional loss, financial loss, destruction of land and resources, repeatedly try to teach us lessons borne from history — what do we have? Russia’s inhumane and unjustifiable attack on Ukraine, with the constant underlying threat of nuclear assault, possibly supported by China, and daily queries about Harry and Meghan — ‘Will they, or won’t they?’ attend a coronation.
