PRISONERS, NOT GUESTS
Thank you, Brian Lilley, for your column “Canadians paying for nothing” pointing out more government waste of taxpayers’ money, this time on quarantine hotels. Sadly, we’ve come to expect nothing less from our totally inept federal government. I would, however, like to point out that your choice of the word “guest” — used to describe the people occupying these rooms — is incorrect.
It has become obvious since Elizabeth May’s early days that the struggle to wedge the party in between the NDP and Liberal so-called “green” issues has been unsuccessful. Despite May’s characteristic position of ignoring real-world facts of life , and her recent railing against efforts to better manage our health care, she has trundled along, bucking energy programs and anything that isn’t green.
