I, myself, have to drive that road three to four times a week and my daughter's family every day. The road is a deathtrap in winter and sooner or later someone will be hurt badly or killed, all for the sake of, what?, to save on salt? . What in the heavens are we, the Islanders, going to do if someone is visiting and is out walking with their dog and it gets caught in a trap just because it went off the walking trail to relieve itself? Or if a child wanders off a trail to get a ball or even to jump in a snowdrift? This is very scary.
Now that Damar is on the road to recovery we need to concentrate on keeping our focus on God."Thoughts and prayers" should not occur only when there is danger or tragedy."Thoughts and prayers" should be part of daily life.
